Comparison Chart Explanation

Hopefully you found the above comparison chart easy to understand. Just in case, here are some quick notes about how I put it together:

First, the product titles and images link to the US version of Amazon.com so you can conveniently buy from them. Of course, you can likely find most of these models available elsewhere, but starting with Amazon saves the trouble of messing with comparison shopping on a bunch of sites. We’ve found Amazon nearly always has the best price, best variety, most reliable shipping, and most importantly, the best reviews as you continue your research.

The term “electric foot massager” encompasses a vast range of styles and variety, so I’ve tried to give a brief, couple word explanation of what each model is in the Style column. For instance, some resemble a pair of slippers, some are Shiatsu style (read this if you don’t know what that means), some are based on revolving pressure nodes, and a few are basically expensive (but powerful!) vibrating platforms. Some also massage your legs, while others focus on the soles or the tops of your feet.

Assuming price matters for you, the price category is a great starting point. The dollar signs represent the general price range where you’ll find each model. Of course, the price you find may vary due to sales, seasonal availability, etc. You can find decent foot massagers at pretty much any price point, but in general, you get what you pay for.

The rating column should give you a decent idea of the overall quality and especially the durability of each product. The rating displayed is my subjective opinion based on features, quality, and other people’s reviews. As you’d expect, an A rating is better than a C, and the ratings are scaled based on the price.

Amazon themselves overwhelmingly has the best quality and highest quantity of reviews, but do keep in mind that in some cases, the reviews are skewed downwards by shipping issues people have experienced when buying from other sellers. Still, it’s worth checking reviews there before you buy.

Finally, in the comments column, I’ve added a few additional comments about each device. In particular, I’ve provided a link directly to the RelaxingFoot.com foot massager review for products reviewed elsewhere on this site.
